Council Calendar

The February 11, 2025 Committee of the Whole meeting will be webcast only as the Town Hall is temporarily closed to the public.

The Town of Paradise Council conducts business through public Council Meetings and public Committee of the Whole meetings. 

Public Council Meetings

Council Meetings serve as the primary forum for elected municipal officials to discuss important issues, make decisions, and carry out the business of the Council. Regular public Council Meetings are held in the Paradise Town Hall Council Chambers at 28 McNamara Drive. These meetings occur at 6 p.m. on alternating Tuesdays. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Public Meetings are also webcast. The dates and times of meetings are listed below.

Public Committee of the Whole Meetings

In Paradise, the Committee of the Whole’s mandate is to facilitate discussion and provide a forum in which the Council may deliberate on, and potentially advance items for decision at regularly held public Council Meetings. All meetings are chaired by the Mayor and the agenda consists of specific portfolios overseen by various members of Council. Regular public Committee of the Whole Meetings are held in the Paradise Town Hall Council Chambers at 28 McNamara Drive. These meetings occur at 6 p.m. on alternating Tuesdays. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Public Meetings are also webcast. The dates and times of meetings are listed below.

To watch the Council or Committee of the Whole Meeting live webcast at the time of the meeting, select "View Live Stream" on the date for the live meeting.  

To view a full a past Council or Committtee of the Whole Meeting, select "Video" on the date of the meeting. 

To view a specific Agenda item of a past Meeting, select "Post Agenda" and then select the item to watch. (Note this viewing option is not available during the live webcast of a meeting.)

Delegations

Members of the public, community groups, consultants, or other stakeholders are able to attend and address Council at a public Committee of the Whole to present on matters that fall within the Committee’s mandate. Delegations wishing to present at a public Committee of the Whole meeting must send a written request to the attention of the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer via email.

Delegations are scheduled at the beginning of the agenda, and are allocated up to ten minutes of speaking time followed by any questions from Council.  

Delegations will not be considered for matters that cannot be discussed in a public meeting, that involve human resources, labour relations or negotiations, or that are involved in a legal matter with the Town.
